A Westley-Richards ZAR carbine in 577-450, as bought by the South African Republic. Large Francotte-style action. Not too many of these were made, and this one is still in shooting condition. Shoots quite nicely too, if you can manage the sights...

Recoil is 'stout', but not too bad with 420gr bullets and 85 grs of Fg, but it does look quite impressive though. Overall length is about the same as a .310 cadet, but the hole in the muzzle is a bit bigger though, just like the cartridge...
