New Zealand Earthquake

Post by Aughnanure » Mon Feb 21, 2011 10:18 pm

I've just watched, for the last forty-five minutes, the unfolding drama of the latest earthquake in New Zealand.
I'm sure that all of our hearts go out to the Kiwis and that we wish that the death toll remains low. There have been some bodies removed from the rubble but there is no idea yet just how many may have died.

Prime Minister Julia Gillard has addressed the Australian Parliament and informed them that Australia will do all that it can to help; a trained Rescue Team has already been sent.
Self Defence is not only a Right, it is an Obligation.

Headlined here Eoin. As their PM said, it was so much worse because it happened during the day. Such a long way away yet so near as a Commonwealth Country. My thoughts are with them........... :NZ:
