AIR SHOW DISASTER - HOT AIR BALLOON SLAMS INTO 4 BUILDINGS!

Post by Niner Delta » Wed Mar 09, 2011 8:36 pm

The pilot at low level had no control over his aircraft.
It narrowly misses a crowd gathered for the air show and slams into four buildings.
One can only imagine the horror of the occupants inside those buildings.

I actually witnessed something like that once. It involved a chinook helicopter though. And it was a four or five seater that was supposed to be more or less stationary. And when it was blown over it went down the side of a hill.....and there was one guy inside. Thankfully...it wasn't me. He was hurt to some minor extent. And since it was at a firebase in Vietnam I wonder if it qualified for a purple heart? It was about like friendly fire, wasn't it?
