CHANGING CLUBS.

Post by DuncaninFrance » Mon May 30, 2011 7:04 am

Having been a member of the large club in Merignac, Bordeaux for 2 years it has become apparent that the long distance that it is from home has curtailed my rifle shooting quite a bit.
I have been thinking about things for a couple of months and finally decided to look for a club a bit nearer home that would fit my present circumstances better.
"La Societe Jonzacaise de TIR" provides the perfect solution.
It is 45kms from here on country roads as opposed to 75kms on main roads and a ring road which starts to become a cart park at about 3:45 in the afternoon!
Subs ate 15€ a year less - not much but it is 250grams of BP!
The 25/50 mtr ranges are available every day.
The members seem very friendly ( I visited on Sunday to meet the President )
I can change my registration mid season ( ends 31 August) with no additional costs.

I will post pics after I have been accepted and have settled in but here are a couple of Google ones to give you an idea of location and site layout

The crops around the club are apples and cherry's although the look like vines from the air!

Going up next Sunday to sort out the documentation, might take my Remington along for a bank!

Martin! It's 100+ kms nearer for you to travel for a shoot

Final acceptance today, Member No: 240 and I have the keycode for the range.
Shot my 1858 for the first time in months - I still can't hit a barn door with it :( :( but the smoke was nice :loco: :loco:

Will post pics when I go next time. It will be midweek so probably fewer people there.
