M91/30 Tula
Not so very long ago I visited a German gun shop just across the border.
I only drove over to buy some 150gn .311 bullets for my M91/30 PU, but then I saw this M91/30 way back in the corner of the shop.
Turned out to be a 1939 M91/30 Tula.
All numbers match or were forced matched.
Long story short......I didn't have a Tula M91/30 in my collection......now I do.
I couldn't leave this one behind for € 90.00.
Of Course some pictures.
Arsenal repair. Somebody did a fantastic job here.
Another slot filled.
Met vriendelijke groet,
Martin

Hello Duncan
Yes, this one is for my collection and I agree......great price.
However, not so very long ago I got permission to test fire the weapons in my collection.
That means I can take this one to the range one single time.
Might not seem much, but it is very exceptional to get this permission and it gives me the opportunity to collect even more info on the weapons in my collection.
Met vriendelijke groet,
Martin

It looks like 90 Euro's is about the same as $120 US. I'm glad you get the chance to shoot it at least once. Are there any limitations as to how many rounds you can put through it while testing it?

No there aren't any limitations.Niner wrote:I'm glad you get the chance to shoot it at least once. Are there any limitations as to how many rounds you can put through it while testing it?
I just got permission to test fire and test firing is not like shooting a match.
I think it also has to do with trust.
All I want to know is whether the rifle functions correctly or not and the police officer that gave me the permission leaves it up to me how many rounds I need to fire to find that out.
Met vriendelijke groet,
Martin

I can understand what you are saying Dutch Mosin and I can appreciate your respect for the laws of your country. I was just wondering if there was some set number of rounds you could fire according to the rules and regulations of "testing" but not being a "shooter".

Re: M91/30 Tula
Thanks for asking Robert.
I'm extremely happy that I got the permission.
It gives me the opportunity to shoot at least once with every single rifle, carbine and pistol I have in my collection.

Martin
