Good eye for color in that one , Joe. Odd how the numbers on the boats are so large. In the US they run about four inches tall for boats the size of those. Of course... the numbers could be part of some fleet of work boats and done that way for some reason.

Seen, hell I can smell low tide from here just looking at it.Here is a hastily rushed example done in Photoshop. It is a subtle technique that does not need big contrasts for it to work. Hope it can be seen .

I really don't know what this contraption is .... I think it may be for setting creosoted posts for small wharves and piers.
