1905 Izhevsk Finn'ed M91

Post by Miller Tyme » Tue May 07, 2013 7:30 pm

Found this one in a local gun store that sells EBR’s, AK’s and glocks, so imagine my surprise to see this behind the counter set off by it’s self. It’s a 1905 Izhevsk M91 that has been Finn’ed. It has the German Deutsches Reich property mark stamped twice on it’s stock, it has a bolt that has seen at least 3 rifles over it’s life, it still has it’s magazine and front barrel band sling mounts, and has it’s Civil Guard District number stamped into the stock, 10108 (8516 - 11300 Etela Uudenmaa District ). This is one of those rifles that just has a story to tell, and the gun shop owner was only to happy to make me a deal to get it out of his shop.

I didn't realise what variety there is of Mosin Nagents. Thanks for showing these. I am being educated here.

Regards
Peter.

Your welcome Peter, I believe I once read there are something like 300 + major collectable variations to the Mosin Nagant, which has my wife worried.

Now that is one with a lot of history. Good find. The sling swivel on the front of the magazine is interesting.
