1935 Hex ring 91/30

Miller Tyme's previous post prompted me to post this 91/30. It's one of those 91/30 refurbishments made with the earlier Hex receiver. It's dated 1935 and shows the Tula arrow in a star on the receiver. However...the receiver surface looks strangely like it has been newly finished, even with the multiple proof marks. Even so, the serial numbers seem to be original on the receiver and bolt. The magazine and butt plate numbers seem clear and look cleanly struck but suspect as to when. Even with matching numbers there are a number of Izhevk triangle arrow stamps in various places...the barrel bands, band spring, butt plate and the trigger guard above the front screw. The finish is refurb shinny lacquer and the sling slots have no metal slot guards. It shoots ok.....I think. I haven't shot it over once in the last seven years I've had it.

The worst thing about it is the ugly Century mark on the receiver.
