1948 RCAF No4 rifle (moved)

Post by pneps » Thu Sep 15, 2005 11:55 am

1949 dated Long Branch CNo4MkI* rifle. most probably one of the match rifles. Markings verified as correct a few yrs ago by a leading Canadian collector with a huge shed in his backyard. Beautiful blue finish. Nice Canadian walnut stocks, PH5C rear sight, and a 1949 dated CMK4 barrel, without bayonet lugs.

More pics to follow.

pneps, What a crisp looking rifle! I thought that only the 7.62 (later) DCRA rifle were sans bayonet lugs...good info.

Begs the question "Howzsheshoot?"

Take Care, Brad
