Paddy Walker builds his range

Post by Niner » Sat Dec 07, 2013 2:44 pm

Paddy Walker, new Mosin Nagant fan sent me a photo of his new range firing point. He lives in South Carolina and has made his own personal range in his back yard...or side yard...or whatever it is. He posts here every once in a while and has mentioned an interest in whatever our next shooting contest turns out to be.

You guys are so lucky to be able to build a range just about anywhere you choose , I cant even use a firearm unless its on a Home office [ Government ] / Police approved range .

This is the obvious answer as to why that is possible...........

The US has only about 5 times the population of the UK.
But the US has about 38 times the square miles.
Sooooo......... the US has about 90 people per sq. mile and UK a whopping 680 per.
It is merely a matter of population density.
And that, boys and girls, is why some can build a range in their back yard.......

.
:USA:

Peace is that brief, quiet moment in history.......... when everybody stands around reloading.

Nice work indeed, Paddy.

Colour me GREEN and we have just had our local range restricted to .22 rf only as the police have found problems with the alignment and the safety zone.

Shooting a Mosin under that metal roof would loosen my teeth....and maybe cause a bladder leak.....
