So what are the loads Joe. I am using a 115 grain .311 boolit with 4 grains of Vit310 in mine for short range work.

I had two different loads Dave, a 155g NOE 155-316 PB sized .314 over 4.5g of N310.
And a 118g NOE 313640 PB sized .314 also over 4.5g of N310. Both loads shot well in both rifles when the nut behind the butt did his job right!

Thanks Joe. Interesting stuff these short range loads. I am quite enjoying reloading cast for my toys at the moment. I got some really good results with the MAS36 I was surprised. I am taking the Mosin Nagant to the range tomorrow night to chrono it. Seeing as I cant sell it I may as well shoot it.

both very nice examples , neither weedon reworks i take it , my Patt 14 is an eddystone in pre-weedon format as well , i do love these rifles ,

Yes they both escaped the the Weedon rework, you have a fine looking example yourself there A square.
What are the M17s in the pic?

been off - lost my job of near 30 years , but now im back on , so - in response the light one is a remington M17 WWII canadian marked that i traded for a really nice martini trap gun a few years back , the other is a winchester M17 that i still have and enjoy very much ,
