Your Mk. I is an early one, and has the low sidewall forend for the never used cut off, as well as the round cocking piece. The Mk. 2 is a late one, so the cut off boss has been eliminated. The strap/screw are primary differences because of the redesigned trigger mechanism. Any Mk. I* will have the receiver boss, and may or may not have the low sidewall, depending on when the wood was machined. The pattern of rear sight will vary depending on when the rifle was made or refurbished. You will also notice differences in the machining pattern on the left side of the receiver, just behind the receiver ring; I am unaware of when/why/where the different contours were done.
