Anyone remember what all the bits fitted or did? Or would like to have a guess?

Eoin,

Is that tool missing a part?

I seem to remember a fairly thick tubular tool (about 1" i/d *) with a flattened and shaped end - the gas port adjuster tool - as part of the "combination tool" and stored in the wallet within the carrier for the second barrel group. - Is it possible that the piece you have was designed to fit inside this for storage?

Regards

Tom

Tom,

No this is a complete tool, the gas adjusting bit is the bar directly behind the copper hammer. There are bits that I don't remember too. Maybe the bit you're thinking of was a cleaner for the hole that the gas selector(?) fitted into?

I think it's tools used by shoe salesmen on Ro-dayo Drive?
