Had to find a new range

Post by Niner » Wed Oct 05, 2005 2:34 pm

The range ten minutes from my house closed down recently. The property that I used to also visit for shooting purposes is being sold. That left me with one alternative... a 40 mile drive. This is the priviately owned country range I went to today.

Cost $10 to use it. Seemed a bit high.... but when you have a monopoly, why not take advantage?

Plus side is that there is both a 100 yard and 200 yard range.

And.... the guy running the place seemed happy to see me visit and even told me thanks for coming as I was leaving. Good friendly bunch of guys at the range as well. I gave one of them directions to this site even.

The only thing I regret about this trip.... I went off and left my spotting scope on the table at home.

The 200 yard range, although narrow is to the left center in the picture.

Still in the building stage.

A covered line, with cement benches. Not too bad actually.

A flat table is made into the fence so you can pass your equipment without having to lug it through the office.

The pistol range. No way to tell how far your target is away. Looks to be up to about 50 yards deep.

Reminds me of an old saying my grandpappy used to shout, " Put a saddle in the stove, ma, we're ridding the range tonight!

I have that same problem in S. PRK! Land is too valubale to shoot. I wish the Govern*or can solve my problem!

Thou, I've got an indoor range closeby, but 25 yards with a M-39....(!)

what do you think?

Thanx Dante'...34's or 36's?

I found the mirror at a wrecked race car at California (AAA) Speedway
