I posted this on the old Milsurp site just before it went "tits up" so here it is again.

Nice looking rifle, Joe.

What is the ammo situation with it?

Its considered an obsolete calibre over here Curtis and does`nt require a firearms certificate, if i wanted to shoot it i would have to put it on fac, and acquire the neccesary reloading equipment.

Gott und Himmel! She's gorgeous!

Much, much, much, better than the example I bought.

This one's seen a little harder life than your rifle, I reckon

I got her cheap though :D

Came from an estate auction where the previous owner had this rifle (and a few others) in a closet for 40+ years. (Should have seen the dead spiders coming out of the bore :D).

Picked it up for $80, as the other guys at the auction only cared about the hunting rifles.

Oddly, I was bidding on a Swiss Vetterli too and two guys bit it up over $400! It wasn't that nice either. I think they thought it was an "old" rifle because of it's odd looks. The winner said he was going to hang it over his fireplace :(

She now resides with a friend who appreciates cleaning Black Powder more than I do and spending obscene amounts of $ on obsolete brass!
