Question for KH
Hallo KH, I am going to Berlin this weekend, 2nd to 5th December, I will be visiting the Frankonia store there. Do you know of any other interesting gun shops in the city which sell milsurp related accoutrements? ie cleaning kits, slings, bayonets etc.

When I was "a little" younger I was in Berlin pretty often and I got my first bayonet from there when I was 15. I loved the "Troedel" (antiques and stuff) shops there. Most of them are gone, but if I recall right there should be many of them in the Motzstrasse and in the subway station Motzstrasse 5 minutes away from the Kurfuerstendamm. They had all and everything, from books over medals to edged weapons. No rifles. Just ask for "Troedellaeden" (antique shops).

Joe, how was Berlin (except from pretty cold temperature). Did you find some shops. I made a mistake, regarding the subway station "Motzstr.". In fact it is at the end of the Motzstreet, but called subway station "Nollendorfplatz".

Hi KH, Berlin was a superb experience, good food, good beer, friendly people, excellent transport system. I went to the Frankonia store on Friedrichstrasse and was disappointed to find very little in the milsurp line, they stocked very few of the items listed in the catalogue. There was a very nice cutaway K98 which appealed to me, but that was about it.
Also visited a gunshop in the Europa Centre near the Zoological Garten, where i picked up a couple of copies of the Visier Specials, "Sportschießen mit Ordonnanzwaffen" and "Fallschirmjäger".
This shop mainly stocked air guns and replica soft air.
As the ladies in our company were`nt too interested in firearms this was as far as we got
I did pick up a neat Russian stopwatch for Dromia at one of the "Checkpoint Charlie" street vendors though.
I would like to visit the city again as there was so much we did`nt get to see.

Joe,
I am glad you liked Berlin, it is one of my favourite cities!! I had the chance to be there the last wekend too and I went to the places I told you, subway station Nollendorfplatz, the Motzstreet and the Eisenacher Street (crossing the Motzstr.). There are some shops very worthwhile to visit there, one of them even with some very old military rifles, no Mosins, but interesting.
