Bayonet question

Post by Woftam » Sat Nov 19, 2005 5:09 am

Sorting through my photo's the other day and came across these two. All I can recall is I posted them for another forum member who was temporarily unable to post photos. Can't remember which member of which forum.

Obviously a foreign bayonet (Mauser ? Turkish ?) modified to fit the LE.

Does anyone know the story behind these ?

Any stamps on it Woftam?

Bayonets aren't my strong suit but I think there was a short pattern, the scabbard definitely doesn't look Enfield

Dromia,

no the photo's I have aren't close up so no markings visible.

Was just going to delete them but I think I'll keep them and hope I can get the details one day.
