Zuckerberg, who largely owns and nominally controls Facebook, admitted to being made to censor posts the last administration wanted blocked and now he recently, apologetically, ended Facebooks political censorship squad that had, along with banning lots of other people and comments, banned Trump before he regained Presidential status. However, I just saw this notice on Facebook in my message stream. Smoke and mirrors? Seems to me it is just another way around the corporate anchored censorship to broader censorship by the forces of control outside of an office on Facebook. The internal facebook censor that will now decide what is helpful or not is the part that makes it a all a hoax and only hides the fact that somebody unnamed still controls the dialog.
Community Notes: A new way to share context and keep people better informed
Soon we'll be introducing a new feature called Community Notes. It will allow people across a diverse range of perspectives to decide when posts are potentially misleading and need more context.
How it works
If you see a post that might be inaccurate or confusing, you can write a note with background info, a tip or an insight people might find useful. Your note may get published on the post if it's rated helpful.
