The government is sneaky

Once upon a time gun laws in the US were pretty liberal. You could buy and sell without any government oversite. However, people were just as afraid of guns changing hands a hundred years ago as today....at least some of them.

Now, trickery was apparently used by gun authorities back then when it suited them. Here is a case in point from a newspaper a hundred years ago. Maybe....if the victim unwrapped the package upon receipt it would have not played out the same way. Who knows?
