UK members: any SE ranges open?

Post by brewstop » Mon Dec 26, 2005 6:55 am

Do any of the UK members know of a full-bore range in south/south-east which is open for "turn-up" shooting over the festive season?

[The NRA/NSC's lack of commercial sense beggars belief: Bisley closed for two weeks during the one time of year when there are probably thousands of shooters sitting at home on holiday itching to get out and have a blat... Heck, they should appoint the man from B&Q in charge of marketing - shooting might then have a future in UK....]

Sorry Brewstop can't help you with that part of the country.

I'm itching for some full bore myself.

Plenty of small bore and clay shooting but as I'm not getting north this time of year it'll be mid Jan before I get some recoil.

I've got three weeks clear and no fullbore shooting, I know how you feel. Don't get me going on Bisley shooting ground and the NRA.

They've been talking a talk this year but I've yet to see them walk the talk.

Only three weeks - lucky bastard.

I'm missing out (on all forms of shooting) for 12 months. On the bright side only 4 months to go.

Thought you could still shoot pistol in Ulster Woftam.

You want to get yourself over to the NE one weekend and come and shoot with the lads before you go back. :D

I'd love to have a shot while I'm over here (wife/children/job/cost permitting) but I was of the understanding if you haven't got a (British Firearms) licence then it's out of the question. Am I wrong ?

Have tried the email with no luck - bounced for some reason. Trying again and if no joy will try the PM option.

Cheers
