Hi!

That's the official helmet of the Feuerschutzpolizei (1940 - '45), the professional fire brigade. It was a part of the police organisation, because the first professional fire brigade in Germany was founded by order of the President of the Berlin Metropolitan Police in 1. Feb. 1851.

I'm missing the black leather rag for the neck protection.

The crest was (and is still) a typical Berlin phenomenon.

The same helmet without is also possible.

I need a new scanner and/or camera. I'm not a collector in the full meaning, I'm collecting informations from gun collectors in my shooting clubs f.e., or from a big bunch of books I had collected over the time for my tin-/lead-/plastic- soldier/modeling hobby...
