James Lee's 1878 prototype rifle

Post by Tymberlord » Sat Jan 14, 2006 2:56 am

Not far from my home , is where James Lee finished developing the 1878proto rifle . In this town of Wallaceburg Ontario Canada , there's a community museum with a small section about Lee and his rifle , which the Lee family donated to the community .

Here's a few picts I took...you'll have to excuse the quality the rifle is behind a glass case.

Thank you for that Tymberlord, those are really important historic artifacts.

It is good to see that their importance is recognised and they are made available to be seen.
