The M-24/47

Post by Terry G » Sun Feb 26, 2006 4:32 pm

I just ordered one one from SOG. I have a couple of M-48A's, and a Turkish M38 and am pretty much use to the cosmoline clean up, but any quirks to this model I should be aware of? Thanks for any help.

I got a 24/47 several years ago. The one I have I like better than the M48 I also have, and the Turk rifles as well.

The straight handle on the bolt may seem a little less desirable as a design than the48's bent bolt handle, but the bolt, at least on mine, makes up for it by being a real smooth action. More so than my M48.

And...no sticking shell case problems like some M48's sometime have.

Let us know what you get an what you think of it.
