Added 2 mess kits to the WWII collection Pics added

I don't have any pics yet as we just got home from a weekend of Scouting, but I aquired 2 very nice 1944 dated US mess kits that a friends wife found at a yard sale.

Here they are along with my canteen. The canteen and cup are dated 1945 and the cover is dates 1942.

neat stuff , i find this fascinating to see - wish id find some of those , i could fall into another collecting hole quite easily

When I went through BCT at Fort Dix in 1967 I had a canteen cup

marked 1918. Wish I still had it.
