My Latest Find

Post by KH » Wed Mar 08, 2006 2:54 pm

I was pretty happy, as I found two Mosin-Nagant cossak rifles m/91, one of them in early configuration with flat rear sight leaf. Just to share them with you.

Regards

Congratulations on the find KH and thanks for sharing.

I can imagine that you're happy with them.

A m/91 Cossack rifle is high on my wishlist.

Got to find one first though.

For now I'm awaiting the arrival of my T53 that I recently bought in Germany.

Next will be a Mosin Nagant trainer, a M38 or a 91/30 PU, whatever comes into my sights first.

Again, thanks for sharing.

Met vriendelijke groet,

Martin

Thank you. Yes they are very hard to find, in fact those were the first I found for sale in "several" years of collecting. If you are so lucky they normally are in pretty poor condition, like mine before I started some restauration work.

The sites

Interesting different site configuration. I have about 5 of these but they are all old Finn captures. A few in good re-finished shape.

Sorry, what do you mean with "Interesting different site configuration"? The rear sight leaf on the left rifle?

If yes: Wow, 5 of them is great!!!! On what rifles (m/91 or dragoon or...) are they (just curious)?

Hello

What I meant was the picture above shows one of the sights a little different than the other. Very nice looking rifles you have there! My rifles I mentioned all have the sights as listed on the rifle, in the picture to the left.

Is it possible to see a photo of the Spanish Civil War Mosin with that sight? Very interesting!!
