C-141

There are some fond memories of the Starlifter, I flew back from Nam on one, like most guys, so I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the bird that got me out of there. Also, when I was stationed in Hawaii, my wife flew from the mainland on a C-141. (military dependent)

Odd seating arrangement, all passengers faced the rear and luggage was strapped to loading ramp and raised, that was your view the whole flight.

Yes, the end of an era, but they were the king in their day.

Peace is that brief, quiet moment in history.......... when everybody stands around reloading.
