Yes it's great to be back on home soil.
Unfortunately having a shoot on Sunday fell through but I thought I'd throw up a few photo's of the local range for comparison.
For the british contingent the blue stuff is sky and it's bright because the sun is out.

My mate Allan, nice bloke but has the irritating habit of shooting better than me.

Welcome back, mate. Going to build up a suntan again?
I must remark though on that thoroughly un-Australian habit that you seem to have picked up. I mean, old boy, using a semi-auto shotgun. Just won't do y'know, what would John think.

Graeme it looks far to hot in your range pics, are you sure you wouldnt prefer a cool Durham breeze blowing up your trouser leg?
Eoin, you are right about those ruffianly Remington semi autos, definately not a gentlemans shotgun

Eoin (and everyone else),
thanks for the welcome.
Yes I do seem to have become a bit paler so some time sunning myself at the range might be appropriate. I shall however try and avoid doing it on ladies day.
The semi-auto was the result of a very generous offer to 'havago ya mug' (thanks Joe). Unfortunately all it did for me was allow me to get more lead in the air around the target.
And as my opinion of Johhny (and what he thinks) is probably the same as most aussie shooters we will leave that unsaid.
Joe,
It does get a bit warm when the temperature climbs into the 40's resulting in those from colder climates becoming puddles. A cool Durham breeze would be appreciated on those occasions. However my (limited) experience says there is no such thing, it's either a freeze the balls off a brass monkey Durham breeze or the colder version.

Say Wolftam.... Admiral Hotel... Balls off a brass monkey... clever. It took me a minute.

Jesus, If those balls are from a monkey, then there must be some truth in the legend of King Kong!!!
Cheers

I've probably (definitely) posted this before.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Goon Show.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sound of marching feet, then:
Neddy and Eckells (?) on guard at the Tower, complaining about how cold it is.
Clunk! Clunk!
"Oh! Look at the brass monkey" no other comment, feet march off....
The rest of the show goes on, then near the end
......feet march back again. Clunk! Clunk!
"Oh! Look! Now the ears have fallen off".
