my photos have disapeared , i am

Post by A square 10 » Thu Feb 07, 2013 1:59 pm

totaly frustrated and fed up with photobucket , so i deleted all but my avitar , the new system they forced down my throat was the final straw ,

it became slow-really slow to load , its jumpy , things were dificult to see/locate on the newly cluttered screen , the adds overran everything , i was accosted with pop-ups , the link/post feature was impossible - which is all i ever used really ,

SO - sorry folks no more photos past or near future untill i figure out an alternative photo hosting site , and unless of coarse the uploads here are stored internally , and of coarse if i can get them uploaded to the site as i go , and if there is sufficient storage ???

You can upload them here from your computer as jpegs. Wish more people would , since when linking sites take a dump the photos go away and then our archives get cluttered up with previous picture posts that are basically now just gone.

Just read the how to information if you can't figure it out intuitively. You can see the how to in the announcements.

I tried registering with Image Shack yesterday - it wouldn't do it :( :( Going to try again today.
As I said to you on another forum AS10, just leave your current images where they are so the stay on the forums you have posted on and start a fresh with new images.............................simples!

I do it the easy way, Microsoft Office Picture Manager. I can edit and resize any jpeg
photo quickly and post to the forums from my computer. Places like Photobucket, Image
Shack and the rest are way too much trouble for me.
Took me about 20 seconds to add the photo below......
Click on "Browse" under 'upload attachment' below.
Pick out the folder on my computer.
Click on the jpeg.
Click on "add the file" below.
Click on "Submit".
Done.
IMHO, you guys are making it harder than it really is.........

Edit: The photo size you see is 600x445, but when you click on it, it enlarges
to the original size of 1745x1293.

I see how your doing it Vern just tried on 2 of my pics but neither of them was the correct size , which then gives me the problem of reszing all my pics first . but it does make it quicker .
Thanks because I didnt realize it was possible to it that way .

What I do is resize the photo I'm going to post by making a copy of the
photo in the same folder, then resize the copy. That way you still have
the large original photo and can delete the copy if you want.

I think you resized it too small, it shows at 200x150.
