Sometimes you just buy a rifle, nomatter how mismatched, because it marches to the beat of a different drummer, case in point my 52 Hungarian M44. It's your typical Hungarian mixmaster with parts from at least 4 different Hungarian M44's, but it has the very hard to find Elm wood stock, not the normal Beech stock. As you can see in the pics the stock has a very definned wood grain that is very course but confortable to hold and affording a good grip when shooting in all kinds of weather. The difference really stands out when it is placed next to a beech stocked Hungarian M44. ( my matching 53 in this case).
