Went to a military vehicle rally the other week and this immaculate VW Kubelwagen caught my attention. It was used by the Whermacht in the second world war.
This particular example was abandoned in Czechoslovakia at wars end, then used over there post war by civvies.It was driven to England by a Czech student escaping the Russian occupation, he then sold it to a Brit.
It has been really well restored and has appeared in the films "Captain Corelli`s Mandolin" and "Two men go to War".
