Well - I was planning to go, everything arranged, but I apparently cannot find a volunteer to take care of the dog (with the whole family being on holiday...) Hopefully I can find someone to keep her for the weekend, and then I'll be over shooting matches and indulging in post-shooting activities. I know I WANT to go - hopefully I will also be able to do so...

Bisley Historic Arms Meeting

Post by Strangely Brown » Thu Jun 23, 2005 5:14 pm

I shall be at Bisley for most of the week before to shoot the "Civilians Alongside" Service Rifle competition, providing there are any Squaddies to shoot it with us!

Every year there seem to be fewer and fewer troops at Bisley due to operational commitments.

My shoots are Monday through to Wednesday but I intend to stay for Wednesday night and watch Beating Retreat this year.

I shall however be there on the Sunday to shoot my Sht Le Mk1*** in probably the Service Rifle "b" event, although at this stage there is still time to change my mind and get a Snider up and running!

Seems I will also be there...

Finally found someone to take care of the dog, I should arrive friday 8th around noon, and leave sunday around 6:00 pm - always willing to meet for some 'refreshments'...

Still have to enter the comps, but I will do somewhere between 6 and 9 - hope to send the inscription form this week.

Of course, I will do both gallery rifle and BP at 200 - maybe have a try at the running deer, who knows... All of it with Martini's!

Artists?

Post by belgmart » Thu Jul 07, 2005 4:39 am

Adam,

Artists friday would be good for me, 19:00 GMT (I'm a continental...). But I thought Artists was members only? By the way, will you be shooting on Friday?

See you Friday at the Artists, they usually let in guests on busy times like the Imperial, I'm not a member but I've never had problem getting in.

Although I have had some problems getting out.

I'll have me bunnet on.

I'm not shooting Friday travelling then hoping to get there about 1-2pm.
