The National Infantry Museum

Post by Niner » Wed Sep 25, 2024 11:12 am

There was a museum, going years back, dedicated to the US infantry at FT Benning, now FT Moore. It was nice enough in the normal sense of museum but there is now the new, since about 2009, super museum that is up to the level of something made by the creators of Disneyland. I recently saw this video that goes into a 45 or so minute tour of this new spectacular museum which completely scratched my curiosity as to what was in the place.

I had been acquainted with director of the old museum back before the new museum had even broken ground. I sent him photos from my old site and other things for their archive. The last thing I wanted to send, after the new museum was in full operation, he was gone and nobody answered my email. The new museum is a spectacular horse of a different color and does rise to the level of a national treasure and curiosity.
