Minolta 160 Riva Zoom

I started this forum for any collecting hobby and it turned into my camera collecting and using forum. I use it mostly to keep a record of my photo adventures. Nobody but me seems to have photo adventures that visit here....but however. I have so many cameras now that I forget which is which and which ones work and which ones don't. If you have cameras and adventures you would be welcome to post here.

Minolta 160 Riva Zoom

My sister gave me this camera a little while ago. I had been sat in a drawer for years and she asked if I wanted it. I said yes and got a new battery and ran a film through it. The photos came out really well. It has a long zoom lens when fully extended. I will probably use it again as it is quite small and will fit in a pocket. A nice little camera.

Good to see someone else besides me use a camera and post about it here. Particularly a film camera from the end of the line on film cameras of the mass market kind. You have to want to use film cameras just to see what happens and not worry about the expense of the film and the time it takes to see your results by developing yourself or paying someone to develop it for you. But... we reload ammo don't we? We shoot old milsurps and reproduction and real black powder firearms. Film cameras are cheaper to acquire and developing chemicals are cheaper than bullet fixings. And a photo taken three photo trips back is more interesting than a target with holes made three trips to the range back as well.
