Taken during the Malayan conflict mid 50s. A photo from my friends, fathers, service in Malaya, probably taken on a range day.

Thanks Joe. My No.5 is FMP marked, and I was moved to research the Malaysian Emergency because of it. Little awareness about it here in the US.

Hi Mozark, i think it was referred to as a "police action" but it was quite a dirty war.

When i was a kid in the 60s a lot of the men in my village had served in Britains "quiet wars", Aden , Borneo, Oman, Malaya etc.
