Lee Enfield forends
A colleague of mine is considering having some forends made fore Long Lees, SMLEs No1 Mk1 and No1 Mk111s along with top wood for the No1 Mk1.
They would be made from American or English walnut
The Long Lee and No1 Mk1 forends look as if they might cost around $120-$150, the actual scale of the order would finally dictate unit cost.
This is nothing to do with a similar previous post, this chap needs this wood for his own projects but obviously doesn't want to fork out for a lot of woodwork thats going to lie around.
Therefore he has asked me to see if there would be any interest in buying this type of woodwork.
Any of this of interest to anyone?????????

I think it would be of great interest if it were for re-worked Mk1* rifles complete. I am keen to have one one day, myself.
If I were producing a dream LE I would make them not 'military arsenal standard', but to a badge-engineered private purchase standard.
When I think of that Purdey Martini .303 I turned down in Bulawayo...

Adam,
I would be interested in the forends for the SMLE Mk 1's and the top wood, as well as for the long lee. One set of each
Do you need a pattern for the SMLE Mark 1? If so, I have a full length stock from which most of the dimensions can be taken. It's only fault is that some previous owner took a belt sander to both sides to remove the volley disk recess and thinned the fore-end
