BSA 12/15 sling swivel screws?
Anyone here have some spare ones? I could use a few to mount on some rifles, as all my 12/15 wood is 'naked', and I do have the correct sling available...
I don't need the sling swivels themselves, just the srews to put on the rifles. You can always reply offline to gert dot claes ath scarlet dot be (convert to . and @)
Thanks in advance,
Gert

Hi Gert,
You mean the screw with the large round Eye with the large (nearly 6mm) hole in it. If so they for the S shaped hooks on P-H and period slings. Yep I have some. These eye type studs were commonly usede through out the British Gun trade. Hmm also have a set of 12/15 wood.

Well I know I have some but not 6
So I will see what I can rake up. Fultons used to have a bag of them but I phoned them and they seem to have mislaid or even sold them
. Mine well I cannot find where I have put them. Still not sorted it all out after moving as there is nowhere as yet to put it all
.
The wood I have is a set off a 12/15 that was decativated
the Buttplate is missing as that went onto another rifle which needed one as the rubber had all perished. So it has no buttplate, the stock bolt is in place and from the action shoulder to the end of the wood meaures 304mm. I do not know if that is full length or not as my own 12/15 has been shortened before I got it and I just get on with it.
Well I just phoned a gunshop I used to use who is heavily into target shooting and he says he should have some sling eyes. I will phone him back in a day or two to see what he has and how much
. Pity I missed the Arms Fair at Bisley last Sunday as could possibly have picked some up there.

You can spot the sling eye here.

Hi Gert,
Well I have struck a vein ............. yep I found some one with a small stash and raided it for you ( and me
) so I have got you all 6 you wanted. It's to late to try taking pictures now plus I am late getting off to the gun-club. Should have been there about 1/2 hour ago.
I had to pay £3 each for the eyes
last time I brought a couple they cost me £1:50 but that was a couple of years back.
Oh I also got a new new web P-H 2 point sling for £12:00 and a Brass foresight insert holder complete with srews for £7:00.
Not sure if they may be of interst to you?
