Somebody gave me a subscription. I'm sure it offers a lot of good information.....but take a look at this picture and the caption.
The rifle looks to me for all the world like a Yugo M48 with the flat sided inside bolt knob and the stock without the indentation. The "issue" bayonet wasn't issued with any 98k in any likelyhood either. However, the story was about officer food in the European armies and the photo was only to pretty up the story I guess.
