My latest find
Found this picture while making the new signature page header at my other site. It's from the spotlight album of the month. This soldier with his just captured 91/44 was photographed in the Delta of Vietnam in 1969 by a guy named Tim Miller, Delta Company 6/31st. Maybe Niner Delta knew him. They were both in the same company, although Niner Delta may have gone home before him by at least a few months or maybe he knows the guy in the picture..
M,/44
I'll bet a few went home with the 9th ID.

Taosbob, it was sure enough some place south of Saigon. Just how far I don't know. And it may have been Chinese but then a again it could have been Russian too as they were a more likely supplier. As you say... kind of hard to tell through the mud that it's even a carbine. When I first just glanced at it I thought it was a 91/30 with a bayonet on it.
