NVA/ Soviet items.

Things a soldier would carry other than firearms, ammo, or uniforms. Meaning equipment such as ammo pouches, bayonets, holsters, oil cans, cleaning equipment, etc.

NVA/ Soviet items.

Post by Dutch Mosin » Wed Oct 17, 2007 5:13 am

Last time I was in Germany I bought myself some NVA(Nationale Volks Armee) and Soviet items.

Don’t know why…I just like these and they look great next to the rifles in my gun room.

Russian Ushanka Winter Hat

NVA officer’s visor cap.

The officer's cap is not 100% original.

Somebody put an Air Force emblem (propeller) on an Army cap.

I don't care though.

I still looks good in my gun room.

Met vriendelijke groet,

Martin

BTW: NVA is the former East German Army

I am always tempted to buy one of the winter hats on our annual foray to Berlin Martin, usually from the street vendors in the Checkpoint Charlie area. Maybe this year!

I did pick up a nice Eastern Bloc stopwatch for Dromia off one of these guys a couple of years back.

Also found a good militaria shop and lots of antique shops under the railway arches along from the Friedrich Strasse Bahnhof.
