Cornish hen on the bbq?

Post by Niner » Thu Oct 25, 2007 8:37 pm

Put a couple on the BBQ tonight waiting for the World Series game to start. Easy to do. Find them usually in the frozen food section. Come two to a package and cost less than $5 for the both.

Split them in half. Season with whatever you like and put them on the grill. Be sure to spray the grill with Pam or something like to keep them from sticking and pulling the skin apart. Sprinkle with vinegar and water every so often when you turn them to keep them moist...about every 10 minutes or so per turn. Cook about 50 minutes or 10 minutes longer depending on the fire.

BBQ sauce is optional.

If you haven't tried them on the grill, they are a lot more tender and more juicy than regular chicken.
