I have been looking at the cartridge price lists from a local dealer and comparing the list dated 6 April 2006 with one dated 24th October 2007. The prices are per 1000 for clay shooting cartridges.
Winchester Trap Max £88.00 £122.00. Plus 38.63%
Eley Olympic Trap £88.00 £115.95 Plus 31.76%
Eley Blue £99.00 £134.00 Plus 35.35%
Lyalvale Pro Comp £117.95 £153.35 Plus 30.01%
Hull DTL300 £120.00 £164.65 Plus 37.20%
I was paying about £80 per thousand for clay shooting cartridges 20 years ago so if they had increased with inflation they would be probably more expemsive than the current prices. It is still a big jump in prices over the last eighteen months.

I try and buy in bulk but I have a dealer who supplies me and is willing to let me have 250 at the 1000 rate for trials!
