Pics of my Type 38 carbine.
Here are a few pics of my T38 carbine. This is a series five Nagoya arsenal. It is mummed and matching, including the dust cover, except for the cleaning rod which is a Gunparts Corp repro.
The full view The arsenal stamp on the butt. The chrysanthemum and type marks. '38 type' reading downwards from the mum. The rear sight. The forestock finger grooves. The muzzle and repro cleaning rod. The action and dust cover. The serial number and arsenal stamps. This one is my best Japanese rifle. The others are all ground and/or mismatched.
Regards
Peter.

Re: Unknown
I never thought I would see these pics on here again after the breakdown of the forum. It's a pity the other posts are missing. I can't remember what they said now. I will have to get this rifle to the range again.

Re: nice jap
Thanks for the comment. Arisaka rifles are few and far between in the UK. I count myself as fortunate to have got this one.

Thanks for the comment
It is the nicest Arisaka I have seen in the UK. The dealer I bought it from had it on his personal licence as it was so nice. I eventually persuaded him to sell it to me.

T38 Carbine
For me the hardest Japanese rifle to find in excellent shape is the T38 Carbine. 99's are relatively easy to fine. Even 44's and T2's are easier than 38 carbines. I have one on the way, friend found it for me, I hope its like I want, I paid enough for it. Will post a picture if it nice. riceone.
Post a picture anyway
I am always interested in seeing pics of Japanese rifles. I look forward to seeing a pic or two when you get it. I hope you get a nice one.

T97 Sniper
Here is a T97 Sniper I just got. Seems to have never been issued or fired. Original finish on metal and wood. Rifle is all matching with mum. Bore is brilliant. Scope is nice and clear. riceone
