.22 Hornet SMLE

Post by Woftam » Tue Sep 09, 2008 5:31 am

Now I've got a new camera I thought I'd do a bit of playing with it. So here is the latest addition, the SMLE in .22 Hornet.

Certainly its no lightweight being built on the SMLE action. Here it is compared to the 1915 EFD MkIII.

Lithgow made

While the bolt isn't numbered it does retain a Lithgow batching assembly number, although not the same as on the rifle.

Another number (serial ?) on the barrel

And definitely a .22 Hornet

The stamping on the barrel - may have to redo this one when I figure out the macro function

And the rear sight

The power of accurate observation is frequently called cynicism by those who don't have it.
