thank you niner for the photos and info , i very much appreciate that ,
this colt upper dates to 67-69 , the buttstock w/o trap and HG are about that same vintage but i cant pin them down quite as close ,
my apoligies for the scope - its a rifle i shoot and my near 60 year old eyes no longer see as they did in the late 60s , that bipod was bought as accoutrament and photo aids ,
delta niner , i agree , most of the early rifles were fitted with one of the three pronged versions of the FS , but by sometime in 67 they had gone to the birdcage in mfgr ,
id love to put together a couple real early versions , flat side uppers and nofence lowers with the pronged FS , but alas the rifles are many and the cash is few ...............shame
