Winter's Bourbon Cask Ale

Post by Niner » Thu Dec 18, 2008 6:29 pm

Picked this one up today. Put out as a Michelob product. Short run brew for the season. It's aged in bourbon barrels and has an addition of Madagascar vanilla beans. Amber in color and smooth to the taste. Light after taste of vanilla. Even a potent, for America, 6% alc/vol. And it even has an honest to God cap that requires a church key to open.

I like it.

Most of the Cafés here are selling 'Bier d'Noël' at the moment which is a strong amber draught beer at about 7%. Tastes good and warming but don't drive after a couple
