Things a soldier would carry other than firearms, ammo, or uniforms. Meaning equipment such as ammo pouches, bayonets, holsters, oil cans, cleaning equipment, etc.

Found this Chinese Mosin Nagant oil bottle on E-bay a couple of days ago.
I collect these items next to my Mosin Nagant rifles and carbines.
I wanted to buy, but hesitated a bit.
I've had some problems over a bought item on E-bay some months ago.
My wife said that for $5.00 I could take a chance.

It's one of those items that is very hard to get over here....especially a Chinese one, so I'm very happy I won.
Now I hope they send it over real soon.
It's just a small item.....but I'm one happy collector.
Met vriendelijke groet,
Martin

Thanks Joe.
I think so too.
These items make my collection more complete and they look great in a display.
Met vriendelijke groet,
Martin

Yes sir, that's an early Soviet cleaning kit.
The Cyrillic letters translate to shchalok(left) and neft.
This can be translated to alkaline solution(left) and oil.
This one seems to be, besides the dual compartment oil bottle, unissued.
Most of the time you can find the arsenal on the screwdriver.
Must be somewhere under all that grease.
Nice kit Joe.
Met vriendelijke groet,

The pullthrough is really long with the loop in the middle so its probably more of a pullbackand forth. !!!
I think that it was probably the same as our pullthroughs Joe, designed so as armorers and platoon sergeants could extract oversized pieces of 4 x anything from a squaddies barrel when they got it jammed

I seem to remember that the Bren pull-through was overly long and with a central loop - could it be that the soviets employed a similar pull-through (for whatever weapon) and that you have one?
Just a thought.
Happy New Year.
