Nice bullets and ingots. What do those little RCBS ingots weigh? and how long are they? They seem a handy size.
I was reluctant to get into casting, too many other irons in the fire, and dragged my heels for some time. Now that I've begun, can't understand why I ever hesitated. Years ago I did quite a bit of foundry work, mostly bronze, and have missed the primal satisfaction of fire and molten metal. Lead smelting and bullet casting fills this yearning fairly well. With the added benifit of shootable projectiles.
At the moment I'm casting for 45-70, 50-70 (and 12.17x44R.) When I'm a bit less overwhelmed with work I've a mind to make paper-patch moulds for the Vetterli and 8x58R. I think that paper-patched moulds will be a fairly simple introduction to mould making, as I can make a straightforeward reamer and lathe bore them, rather than a cutter or cherry with lube grooves.
