Welcome to the new bulletin board.

HTML is no longer allowed, but the BBCode now supports automatic image resizing and hyperlinks.

There are some things that haven't been set in place yet. The color of the board will change and the old bullet indicators will return. The banner needs to be linked to the home page menu again. There probably will be some other things to adjust as we find them. However, the benefits should be seen as to ease of photo linking from a photo source or using our photo attachment from desktop feature.

It may take a little time discovering how it all works. It will be a bit of a learning experience for all of us. But, onward and ......onward. :rebel:

Good to see it back to the old format. The orange is a little too much, I liked the older color scheme better.

Changes are coming

However, if you wish, you can go to the "user control panel" which should be seen in the top left hand part of the page under the board index. You can choose the preferences button and change the board format colors to the standard blue version.

There are some things needed done to the board that remain. The bullets need to be added and there should be some links to the chatroom and the original home page. The colors that are "standard" now need some adjusting. I wanted to keep the same colors but there is a problem with duplicating them.

There should be some other color choices in the near future as well.

You mean the color change doesn't have to do with 03/17?

It's a little jarring.

It is just in time for St. Patrick's day for sure. I'd like to change the fence around the menu from mustard to dark green too.

In any case there will eventually be more than one skin to chose from.

Overall I am very disappointed with this new format. There was nothing wrong with the old format, at least from the user point of view. I am disappointed with my loss of very useful and interesting information. Good luck to you all who collect any type of rifles. I have much different opinions about and sentiment for the designer of this new page. I will try to find another page with the same good quality of information but without the poor quality of page presentation and without all the fancy colours. Goodbye all.

The changes were made for a few different reasons. The first one was that some experienced occasional error problems when posting and this updated board should correct that problem. The second was that the photo posting in this format is self limiting and doesn't require moderator adjustments every time somebody posts a super sized photo. There are other reasons as well.

It doesn't look like the old board but all the posts are still here from the old board. And I like the colors of which I alone am responsible.

If you want the board to look more bland go to your "User Control Panel" that you will see in the light green bar in the top left of the screen. Then hit Board Preferences and then the "prosilver" as a selection in place of the "milsurp" and your board "skin" will look like the attached photo.

I complained when it first changed but I am OK with it now just took a little getting used to.
I have had no problems with attaching files and pics if anything it is better.
The thing is we can all complain and spit our dummy out but we are just logging in and bitching because its different.
