Hello,
I have a Mauser 24/47 in 8x57 that when I try chambering the 2nd and 4th rounds(left side of magazine), it sticks. The round goes at an angle and jams it. Anyone have this problem with theirs and what could be the culprit?
Thanks,
Backwoodsman

Re: Mauser 24/47 Problem
The magazine spring might need replacing is all I can figure. Don't see how it could be reversed by accident and there are no magazine ears to blame.

Re: Mauser 24/47 Problem
Hey, you know i had the same problem when using lead tipped or blunt ammunition. And this put me in a bit of a panic with it being my first rifle so far. But I simply switched to Winchester XX or any other FMJ and it seemed to fix it. I do have a few questions of my own though, like can anyone tell me what this says КРД|ЬЕВИHД. Its on the side and my translators are stumped. And where can i find a manual with a mechanical break down of this thing?
Any help or advice for future purchases would be appreciated.
Thank you.

As my dad would say HOOAH!

Transliteration of the sidemaking would be KRAGUJEVAC, the place in Serbia, where the rifle was rebuilt.
