No4 MK 1 ROF(F) 5/45

Post by wes.crockett » Fri Nov 27, 2009 10:43 pm

Hello,

My brother in law and I are trying to figure out some information about this gun... From what we have found it is a Lee-Enfield No.4 MK I ROF(F) 5/45. So... 1945 MK I.

here is an image link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/45081708@N04/4140078744

Our issue so far is that we can't find images of it... They all have the continued stock all the way up to the end of the barrel. Any ideas on how to get more information on this gun?

We are wondering as to its worth as well.

Thank you,
Wes

At a quick glance you have a 'Sporterized' weapon and not an original complete Enfield. No:4 ROF(F) is Royal Ordnance Factory (Fazakerley) which is in Liverpool. The No4 was produced here and at ROF Maltby, South Yorkshire as well as by BSA in Birmingham. Manufacture started in 1941.
